Faculty of Agriculture Celebrates the Department of Food Science and Technology’s Success at Profood Propack 2026

The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, proudly announces the outstanding achievements of students from the Department of Food Science and Technology at Profood Propack 2026. Held at the BMICH from August 21st to 23rd, 2026, this event provided an excellent stage for undergraduates to showcase their talents to the public and the industry.

The students brought great honor to the Faculty by securing top positions in key competitions organized by the Institute of Food Science and Technology Sri Lanka (IFSTSL):

• Champions: FoodSci Quest 2026 (Inter-University Quiz Competition)

Beyond the competitions, the Department’s exhibition stall was a major highlight of the event. The busy and engaging space drew a large crowd of visitors who highly appreciated the interactive activities and the innovative new food products developed by the students.

These achievements clearly reflect the hard work, talent, and innovative spirit of the students and staff. The Faculty extends its warmest congratulations to the winning teams and thanks the IFSTSL for providing such a valuable platform for university students.
